Ever since the outbreak of fast spreading coronavirus, many countries have been looking for better and efficient ways of screening the members of the public arriving at their borders. It has been felt that Identifying potentially infected travelers at border points can help contain epidemics.
Thailand has become the world’s first country to introduce a pilot for a new fever detection system.
Developed by Dermalog, this border control system is integrated with fever detection and helps identify potentially infected travelers right at the border entrance to contain epidemics. Recently installed at Don Mueang Airport, it will not only capture figure prints and faces but will also measure the body temperature of travelers which will be displayed on the concerned officer’s computer screen. Any passengers identified with high fever can be taken for further medical checks.
