Ever since a man from Delhi was tested positive for covid-19, Health authorities in capital have scrambled to track the number of people, he had come in contact with ever since returning from coronavirus-hit Italy.
Hyatt Regency Delhi, where the patient had organised a birthday party for his child, has asked its staff to self-quarantine for 14 days
A statement issued by Mr. Julian Ayers, Hotel’s vice president and general manager VP and General Manager says, “Government authorities recently confirmed that an individual who dined at La Piazza restaurant at Hyatt Regency Delhi on February 28, 2020, has been diagnosed with COVID-19. Since receiving this news, the hotel has enacted elevated precautionary operational protocols, including deep-cleaning measures in the restaurant, employee lockers and in all public areas, restaurants and meeting spaces across the hotel”
“All colleagues who were present at the restaurant on February 28, 2020, have been asked to (be in) self-quarantine for 14 days.” It added
The hotel has not yet disclosed the number of employees it has asked to stay in quarantine. It is also not yet clear if authorities have tracked down any of the diners who may have been present at the restaurant at the same time when the patient was present at the restaurant.
