Voice of Indian Tourism, a group of like-minded tourism professionals committed to the skill development of students, in association with The Institute of Tourism Studies, University of Lucknow, today launched an online summer training programme for students of the tourism industry.

Shri Prahlad Singh Patel, Minister of State Tourism and Culture, Government of India, the chief guest at the inaugural function, appreciated the initiative that is focused on the skill development of students.

He expressed hope for the speedy revival of the tourism industry and said that the Dekho Apna Desh Initiative by the Ministry of Tourism will play a key role in kick-starting the revival process of the industry.

The training programme has received a lot of interest from students from all over the country with about 2000 students from over 50 universities already registered for the training.

The training will be given by over 35 knowledge partners that tourism professionals from various sectors like MICE,Hospitality, tourism boards.
