New Delhi: Indian tourism industry, under the leadership of Mr. Naveen Manchanda has come together to form, Indian Association of Travel & Tourism Experts (IATTE). The Idea behind IATTE is to provide a completely online platform and bring together all organised and non-organised agents from travel trade. It also aims to negotiate various Travel & Tourism related services like group deals and Insurance for the benefit and upliftment of all its members.
As the COVID-19 crisis hit the Indian tourism industry, a strong need was felt for having a tourism body that brought together all the tourism verticals together under one roof and the need to have an understanding of responsible and sustainable tourism.
The Foundation stone for the formation of IATTE was laid with the several initial conversations held between Mr. Naveen Manchanda and industry veteran Mr. Subhash Verma, which further continued with joining of several other prominent Industry professionals that included Ms. Veena Robinson, Mr. Jatin Mehta, Mr. Gaurav Khandelwal, Mr. Anal Singh, and Mr. Nischay Manchanda.
With over 91 meetings that have happened online since March 2020, several industry professionals who have already signed up for the membership, it is expected to have over 200 members by the time of launch. For the first Financial year 2020-2021, no membership is applicable.
The official launch of the Indian Association of Travel & Tourism Experts will take place on 24th July.
