New Delhi: Hong Kong Authorities have banned all flights operated by Indian national carrier, Air India, for the rest of August. The action comes after Hong Kong airport authorities identified 11 COVID positive passengers in one of the Vande Bharat flights carrying passengers from Delhi.
The decision was taken after the government invoked its emergency public health regulations for the first time to ban Indian Carrier.
“The fact 11 passengers tested positive on the same flight shows the lab tests back in India are not very reliable,” a government source told the South China Morning Post.
Air India had recently announced the postponing of its Delhi – Hong Kong Flights
