N-E India To Get Its 3rd International Airport by March 2021

Agartala’s Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport will become the states third international airport after its completion in March 2021, announced the AAI officials on Monday.

The MBB Airport will aid in increasing the connectivity with neighbouring countries, that the state government is keen to begin. Designed to handle over 1000 domestic and 200 International passengers during its peak hours, giving it an annual capacity of handling over 3 million passengers.

Build over a 30,000 Square meter area, the airport will be equipped with 20 check-in counters and four passenger boarding bridges conveyor belts and passenger-friendly modern facilities including advanced Intelligent building management systems for efficient use of energy. Said the AAI official.
