The UK To Shut All Travel Corridors From Monday

In a recent address to the nation, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced the closure of all travel corridors from Monday, 18th January 2021,  in a bid to protect the citizens against the risk of unidentified new strains of COVID.

This means that anyone flying into the country from overseas will have to show proof of a negative COVID test before boarding.

The announcement comes following a ban on all travellers from South America and Portugal that came into effect from Friday, over the concerns about the new variant identified in Brazil.

The new rules will be in place until at least 15th February.
