Washington: The Biden administration has announced that Starting the 4th of May, it will be restricting the travel of non-US citizens from India.
The new restrictions are being put in place to prevent the multiple COVID-19 strains circulating in India, from entering the US. The restrictions will come into action from midnight on Tuesday and don’t apply to American citizens and permanent residents.
Similar restrictions are already in place for travelers from South Africa, Brazil, UK, Ireland, and several other countries who have recently seen a spike in COVID-19 infection and its variants.
