Fully Vaccinated Passengers May Soon Be Able To Take Domestic Travel without RTPCR
Domestic travel in India could soon find itself on its way to recovery if governments plan to do away with RT-PCR tests, become a reality.
According to recent media reports, the civil aviation minister Minister of Civil Aviation (MoCA) Hardeep Singh Puri has said that a joint team from several ministries and stakeholders, including the health department, are in discussion to take a final decision on allowing travelling by air without an RT-PCR test for those who have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
The minister added that the decision will be taken by several stakeholders including the ministry of civil aviation, and several nodal agencies along with several health experts who are currently working with the government to safeguard the interest of the passengers
He also said that Health being a state subject, it is the states who will have to decide whether to ask for a negative RT-PCR or not
