Management Committee Elections of the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI), which were announced last month, will not be held in the near future.
This was decided in the General House meeting of the Association. The AP Chapter Chairman put forward the proposal and was supported by other chapters of the Association, said Anil Rajput, Joint Secretary of the Association.
As domestic tourism is showing signs of recovery after the lull during the pandemic, the majority of members attending the General House wanted the Management Committee to continue for another 18 months. They would need to concentrate on rebuilding the business instead of using up time in elections, said Rajput.
