Goa has opened up for tourists since the deadly second wave of Covid-19 has abated now. The state government has allowed the offshore and onshore casinos in Goa to reopen with only 50 per cent capacity.
On Sunday, state health minister Vishwajit Rane said that hotels will permit only those tourists who are fully vaccinated with double doses. He also said that visitors would need to carry their vaccination certificates for entry to the hotel.
Currently, the total number of positive active corona cases is only 946. On Saturday, active cases registered were 65.
The total number of Covid cases in Goa to date is 1,76,021, out of which 171776 people have been discharged after recovery. Only 3299 deaths were registered.
