ATOAI Seeks National Policy For Promoting Adventure Tourism In India

New Delhi – Senior officials from the ATOAI Team met with the Hon’ble Tourism Minister, Shri G. Kishan Reddy in his office at Transport Bhawan, New Delhi on 19th October 2021.
 
ATOAI apprised him about the latest updates related to adventure tourism in the country.
 
ATOAI discussed the various possibilities of the promotion of adventure tourism in the country.
 
ATOAI requested the Hon’ble Minister to give special focus to the promotion of adventure tourism in overseas and India in all MoT Campaigns. The Hon’ble Minister has assured full cooperation to the association for the same.
 
ATOAI also presented the Indian Adventure Tourism Guidelines booklet to the Hon’ble Minister and requested him to push all the States and the Union Territories to adopt the guidelines officially and follow them in letter and spirit.
 
ATOAI thanked the Hon’ble Minister for helping the trade for opening up the skies for international tourists from 15th October 2021 and 15th November for different sets of tourists respectively and has requested the Hon’ble Minister to help get information from the respective Ministries related to foreigners travelling to India for e.g., vaccination requirement, RTPCR, quarantine, etc.
 
ATOAI requested to launch a special campaign for the awareness of clients to choose the service providers carefully for their holidays and travel only with recognized service providers, recognized either by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India or by the States-Union Territories.
 
ATOAI requested to revive the Adventure Task Force Committee and have regular meetings.
 
ATOAI also requested the Hon’ble Minister to come up with a national policy for adventure tourism in the country.
