Related

Starting from December, Goa will start seeing arrivals of one charter, from Almaty, Kazakhstan every week. The operations will be handled by MinarTravels (India).

Abida Kumar, vice-president, operations, Minar Travels (India), informed TOI that the first arrival will be on December 9 and that they are also trying to bring charters from Ukraine.

Charter tourists from these two CIS countries have visited Goa regularly in the past decade.

Although Russia provides more than half of the charter tourists, with the country undergoing another Covid crisis, operators feel Russian charters may arrive only from January.

The first charter from the UK arrives on December 13. Substantial bookings are being made from the UK since the middle of last month when the government started issuing visas.
